The research shows that the pressure sensitive adhesive has special viscoelasticity, which produces viscosity under the action of external force, thus realizing close contact with the adhered object, wetting and penetrating the surface of the adhered object, and the adhesion molecule and the adhered molecule are close to within 5 × 10-10m, resulting in van der Waals force and adhesion. From this we can see that the adhesive exerts its adhesive force has two elements: the viscoelasticity of the adhesive and the external force. The viscoelasticity of adhesive is mainly related to the variety and formula of adhesive elastomer, which is the main and internal factor. The external force includes the use environment (temperature and humidity), pasting method and pasting size, the material of the adhesive object and its surface cleanliness, surface shape, etc., which are the external influencing factors. Here, only the influence of temperature and humidity on the use of pressure sensitive adhesive tape is discussed.
